The Westphalian Dachsbracke is a short-legged German scenthound with a long body, dropped ears, and a short tricolor coat. It is larger and more rectangular than a miniature Dachshund.

The Westphalian Dachsbracke is a German tracking hound used on hare and to follow wounded game in Westphalia. It is an ancestor of the Drever.

Temperament

As with other long-backed hounds, disc problems can occur. Limit jumping off furniture.
