The Fawn Brittany Griffon is a medium, rustic scenthound with a harsh fawn coat, dropped ears, and a wiry beard. The body is slightly longer than tall, built for dense Breton cover.

A rough-coated French scent hound for woods work; wiry coat care, a trail voice, and days measured in miles rather than apartment halls.

Temperament

These griffons are typically courageous on game and friendly with their own pack. They have a carrying voice and need more work than a quiet house pet. They are usually good-natured at home when they are hunted or walked enough.

Training

Train the recall early and use a long line. Scent drive is strong.

Care and grooming

Brush the harsh coat weekly and clean the ears after work in cover.

Health

The breed is generally hardy. Ear infections and pad injuries are the common working-dog issues.
